Critical Discussions: creating dialogue in Africa

Have you ever wondered why it is that relations between Africa and the West are still so tense and uneasy?

How can we harmonise these relations and so allow people to work together in the future, unhindered by racial perceptions?

Why do so many middle-class Africans try so hard not to be Africans?

How can we help Africans to regain their identities with pride and so contribute to a renaissance in Africa?

Critical Discussions offers a programme over 6 years which aims to bring together students with the greatest leadership potential in 25 African countries, with students from leading Universities in the UK, Europe and the USA.

The project addresses these issues directly and will leave every participant profoundly affected. They will become part of the new emerging leadership and will carry with them a new energy – one of partnership, collaboration and a genuine desire for mutual progression.
